Melody, from Britex Fabrics’ 2nd floor, constructed this beautiful quilt as a gift for one of our much loved employees who is at home recovering from illness. Melody even industriously organized four floors of employees so that they could add personal messages. We are all hoping that we’ll see our sick co-worker bouncingly back at work soon!

Melody created this charming bib apron of Britex Fabric cotton strewn with wine connoisseur gewgaws including corkscrews, wine stemware, oak wine barrels, wing corkscrews, wooden corkscrews, corks, and bottles of wine….and then she trimmed the hem with brown rick-rack! This would make a lovely gift for any host or hostess.

Secretary made these chic overalls for her nephew, “Little Hog”. They are sewn out of sturdy Japanese cotton/linen from Britex that is adorned with wee planes, helicopters and floaty little clouds. We love Secretaries attention to detail; the slash pockets are lined with natural linen, she used brass snaps for fasteners, and she fashioned these pants from a vintage pattern. “Little Hog” is going to be one stylin’ dude! Japanese cotton/linen is 44” wide and can be found on Britex Fabric’s 2nd floor.

rayon/silk velvet from our 2nd floor. The ends are accentuated with silk ribbon tassels that complement the abstract design of the print delightfully. This would brighten up any gloomy day!

Never trust someone in a mysteriously veiled All Hallows Eve hat, ‘specially if they have that drop-dead pensive look; is she thinking about getting a grilled cheese sandwich for a rainy day lunch, or is there something more sinister on her mind? Kristin made this snazzy little number with Britex hat veiling, Swarovski rhinestones, and a hat form from the 3rd floor, and spooky skull fabric from the 2nd floor!

Melody from Britex’s second floor made these finely festive autumn napkins for a friend. We love the attention that she took to turning the napkins mitered corners and the lush fall cotton fabric. Although we have sold out of this particular pumpkin-strewn style, similar fabrics are available in our second floor cotton department.

Kari and Jessica from Britex Fabrics created these spooky soft sculpture skulls and pumpkin heads for All Hallows Eve or Dia dos Mortos clips. They can be worn jauntily as a tiny hat or hair clip, or as a debonair boutonnière. The hat veiling adds a stylish and mysterious touch. These are available on the 3rd floor of Britex Fabrics. Please email M. Du Jour at Britex Fabrics, or stop by the store if you want to buy one of these fabulous adornments!
